I just lived an entire month without a surgery. When was the last month that this was true, you ask? The last surgery free month was May. Here’s a list for those of you keeping score at home.
June 27-Lumpectomy 1
July 18-Lumpectomy 2-Undiscovered Country
August 8th-Right-side Mastectomy
September 26th-Delay Procedure and tissue expander placement
October ?-Skin graft.
My next surgery? March 11th, for my TRAM reconstruction. Yay! I will make the best of my months off!
That’s a pretty gruesome schedule of events. I’m glad you are holding up so well. A hangnail undoes me. You are strong and brave.
Thanks, Joanna but I don’t believe you for one minute! Nurses are tough as nails with generous and kind hearts.
An incredible amount to contend with in a short period of time. I hope it’s your only run-in with the scalpel for this reason and any other “procedures” are ones you want to have, not those you have to say yes to.
Thanks, Tracy. It is looking like most likely, my upcoming procedures will all be elective, knock on wood.
Clearly, I haven’t been paying attention to FB. THis is all news to me. Sounds like you’ve handled it all beautifully despite a truly a grueling past few months.
Oh dear, I didn’t realize you didn’t know about this. I’ve emailed you separately.
