After yesterday, John was needing a laugh. So I showed him this hilarious youtube video, Sad Cat Diary. He loved it and it was another way to celebrate the life of our cat because there are so many truths about their unique behavior described in the video. The video was all over Facebook so you may have already viewed it. If you haven’t, check it out. It’s well worth viewing.

“It has come to my attention that the authorities have two hands, yet sadistically insist on using only one to pet me. Half of love is just lo. Which is how I feel. My spirit is breaking.” That whole segment is my favorite, but the one about wanting to be petted just twice…and biting on the third pet was spot-on for one of our cats. We had one tan cat and one black cat. The black cat only slept on our light colored furniture; the tan cat on the dark furniture. Little fuckers. But we loved them dearly.
I love that video. I love the way cats refer to the humans as “the authorities.” In the dog version, we are referred to as “my dearest human.” Ha!
I’m surprised the cat video called humans “the authorities.” As if cats acknowledge any authority other than their own. I didn’t know there was a dog version. I’ll have to check it out and see if Maggie matches any of it as much as our cats did this video. :- )
Very true. Perhaps they should have said, “Supposed authorities” or “the puppet ruler” or something like that.

As a cat lover all cats no matter how sad looking are irresistible. Cats definitely know I’m a push over hence we have eight who now look very happy in their warm and comfortable home. We also have no rats, mice or moles here 🙂 unlike some of our neighbours who pay for expensive pest control firms…
